Here are the first round selection CBs. There really isn't much to say. Not much moving really happened.
Patrick Peterson
He had a great combine and really solidified himself as a top ten pick. We would have to trade up to get him.
Prince Amukamara
He ran an excellent time with a 4.43. I think we had a chance at getting Prince at 13 if he ran a slow time. If he had I could had convinced myself that he isn't flashy enough for Jerry Jones. There is a small chance, it players fall to teams that like certain players better. These is such a small chance. We would have to trade up to get him.
Jimmy Smith
We won't be taking him in the first round. Second round he will get consideration, but still may pass. He is getting good reviews as a CB, but terrible reviews as far as character.
Brandon Harris
Really kind of was non existent. I think right now he is a second rounder.
CBs are one of those areas where there are a lot of them. So many of them look extremely raw, but have the speed. Every once in a while you can run into a gem CB late in the draft. I think it looks best if the Lions draft a guy later, that will sadly be a developmental guy. He won't step on the field right away, but he will have high potential kind of guy once he gets coached up. That is where the interviews and background checks will come in big for the Lions to find out who can be easily coached, love for the game, and great work ethic.
